Biome Blocks

Project in progress…

About

Biome Blocks is a 3D interactive game that educates players about prehistoric environmental
conditions that contribute to animal life and extinction. The goals of the project were to make a design document and a workable prototype of the game. This game was a collaborative project by Jessica Feng, Anais Lupu, Viola Yu, Amy Zhu, and myself.

Mood Boards

The team compiled mood boards for inspiration on the style and color palette for the game.

Game Design

I had various roles on the team, the first of which being game design. To test and iterate, we used paper-prototyping.

To learn more about the design of the game, check out the design document here, or at the bottom of this page.

3D Assets

Everyone on the team made game-ready 3D assets, but my main asset was the stegosaurus character. The low-poly model was given a procedural texture, UV unwrapped, and then hand-painted in Blender.

P.S. Look under his foot!
